Sunflower Rummy table in the Sunflower Game app showing a 13-card hand arranged into sequences and sets

Sunflower Rummy

2–6 players · 5–10 min · Skill-heavy

  1. 1.Get your 13 cards. Every player is dealt 13 cards. One card is turned face-up to start the open pile, and one random card is picked as the wild joker for the round.
  2. 2.Pick, then drop. On your turn, take one card — either from the closed deck or the top of the open pile. Then drop one card you don't need onto the open pile.
  3. 3.Make a pure sequence. You need at least one pure sequence: three or more cards of the same suit in order, with no joker. For example 4♥ 5♥ 6♥. Without it, you can't declare.
  4. 4.Group the rest. Arrange the remaining cards into more sequences (jokers allowed now) or sets — three or four cards of the same rank in different suits, like 9♠ 9♦ 9♣.
  5. 5.Declare and win. When all 13 cards are in valid groups, drop your last card on the 'Finish' slot and declare. The app checks your hand instantly and totals everyone's points.
Colourful Sunflower Ludo board with red, green, yellow and blue tokens racing toward the home triangle

Sunflower Ludo

2–4 players · 10–25 min · Easy

  1. 1.Pick a colour. Each player gets four tokens in one colour. All tokens start in the base — the big square in your corner.
  2. 2.Roll a six to start. In classic mode you need a 6 to bring a token out of base onto your starting square. Rolling a 6 also gives you another roll.
  3. 3.Move around the board. Tokens travel clockwise around the board by the number you roll. You choose which token to move, which is where the strategy comes in.
  4. 4.Capture your rivals. Land exactly on an opponent's token and it's sent back to their base. Starred safe squares protect tokens from capture.
  5. 5.Race home. After a full lap, tokens enter your coloured home column. The first player to get all four tokens home wins the game.
Sunflower Teen Patti table with three face-down cards, player avatars and chips around a round felt table

Sunflower Teen Patti

3–5 players · 2–4 min · Medium

  1. 1.Everyone gets three cards. Each player is dealt three cards face down. A small boot amount is placed in the pot to start the round.
  2. 2.Play blind or seen. You can play 'blind' without looking at your cards, or look and play 'seen'. Blind players put in half as much per turn, which makes it a cheeky strategy.
  3. 3.Chaal or pack. On your turn you either continue (chaal) by matching the current stake, or pack (fold) and sit the round out.
  4. 4.Side show. A seen player can ask the previous seen player for a side show. Both compare cards privately, and the weaker hand packs.
  5. 5.Show. When only two players remain, either can ask for a show. Cards are revealed and the best hand takes the pot.
Sunflower Callbreak game with four players, spade trump cards and bid counters displayed on the table

Sunflower Callbreak

4 players · 8–12 min · Medium

  1. 1.Deal 13 cards each. The full 52-card deck is dealt between four players, so everyone holds 13 cards.
  2. 2.Make your call. Look at your hand and bid how many tricks (hands) you think you'll win, from 1 to 8. That number is your 'call'.
  3. 3.Follow the suit. The first player leads a card. Everyone else must follow the same suit if they can. If they can't, they must play a spade (trump) if they have one.
  4. 4.Win the trick. The highest spade wins the trick. If no spade is played, the highest card of the led suit wins. The winner leads the next trick.
  5. 5.Score after five rounds. Hit or beat your call and you score it (plus 0.1 for each extra trick). Fall short and your call is subtracted. After five rounds, the highest total wins.
Top-down view of a Sunflower Carrom board with black and white coins, the red queen and a striker lined up for a shot

Sunflower Carrom

2–4 players · 6–15 min · Skill-heavy

  1. 1.Choose your colour. One player (or team) plays the white coins, the other plays black. The red coin in the middle is the queen.
  2. 2.Place the striker. Slide the striker along your baseline to position it. It must stay between the two baseline circles.
  3. 3.Aim and shoot. Drag back to aim and set power. A guide line shows the direction. Release to strike.
  4. 4.Pocket and cover the queen. Pocket the queen, then pocket one of your own coins right after to 'cover' it. If you don't, the queen goes back to the centre.
  5. 5.Clear your coins. Keep shooting as long as you pocket your own coins. The first to clear all their coins (with the queen covered) wins.

Finding your way around the app

The lobby is home base. Games are listed across the middle, your coin balance and level sit at the top, and the bottom bar takes you to your profile, friends, daily rewards and settings.

Inside a game, you'll see the table types. Practice tables are for learning. Quick Play seats you with whoever's available. Private Room lets you create or join a table using a code. Some games also have tournaments on certain days.

Table manners (yes, really)

It's a game, and games are more fun when everyone plays nicely. A few unwritten rules the community cares about:

  • Don't leave mid-game unless you have to. It ruins the round for everyone else.
  • Take your turn in reasonable time. The timer exists, but nobody enjoys watching it count down every move.
  • Keep the sticker spam friendly. A cheeky laugh after a capture is fine; ten in a row is not.
  • If you spot someone cheating or colluding, report them from the table menu. We do look at every report.

Playing smart, not just playing more

Good players aren't the ones who play the most hours. They're the ones who stop when they're tired, learn from bad rounds, and don't chase losses. Set a reminder in settings, take breaks, and have a look at our responsible gaming page if you'd like more tools.

When you're ready to sharpen up, our blog has deeper guides like Rummy tips for beginners and Ludo strategies that actually work.

Rules learnt. Now go play.

The Sunflower Game download is free, takes about a minute on a normal connection, and you can be sitting at a Rummy or Ludo table right after.
